配樂名家Basil Poledouris，於7日因癌症逝世，享年61歲。
Basil Poledouris的知名作品包括「王者之劍」，「威鯨闖天關」，「星際戰將」等
今年初，他被診斷發現腦與肺，都受癌細胞侵蝕，儘管如此，今年七月，他還出席
在西班牙舉行的國際電影音樂會議，在音樂會中擔任指揮。
