很仔細又很完整的論述,至少我就被說服了
1. Dexter's first statement about Deb. "She's the only person in the world
that loves me. I think that's nice. I don't have feelings about anything, but
if I could have feelings at all I'd have them for Deb."
2. Deb and Dexter flirt like crazy in their very first scene together. She
blushes at him, he talks about her outfit, tells her to wear the sex suit to
the interview. Later he sees her in uniform and brings up "I liked the sex
suit better" she replies "You are a sick **ck" That's flirting, a little odd
for brother/sister don't you think? Right off the bat we have established
Dexter and Debra as "a little different"
3. Breakfast at Dexter's. Bagles. She picks out his tie and stares at him
lovingly and tells him "It brings out the green in your eyes"
4. She picks out her brother's girlfriend. "Rita" an abused docile blonde who
is absolutely submissive and is totally different and no threat to Deb.
Coincidence? This is the woman SHE has chosen for Dexter.
5. Double Date. In front of Rita and Dexter, Debra is all over her boyfriend,
making Rita very self conscious. Deb is either consciously or subconsciously
asserting her sexual dominance over Rita. This is psych 101 stuff.
6. Dexter is insulted in school, he resist the urge to lash out. Later the
kids accuse him of having sex with his sister, this hits home and sends him
over the top, he goes after them with a blade and Harry stops him just in
time.
7. Debra falls madly in love with Rudy. So much so that she "makes love" for
the first time and cries. In Deb's eyes, this is her first real love. Should
I point out that Rudy is in fact Brian Moser, Dexter's brother. And even
though the actors don't look like brothers (more like cousins), the
characters are meant to. In the novel "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" Brian and
Dexter look so much alike they are practically twins. Deb cannot tell them
apart on camera. Book 1 and Season 1 are the same story with only a few
changes. And what is Brian? A sociopath with a totally manufactured
personality. He is smooth, likeable, seemingly a great guy, but emotionally
distant and can shut himself off and push Deb away at any time. Debra falls
in love with Rudy because HE IS DEXTER version 1.1A
8. Debra demands that she be Dexter's main confident. She does not want him
bonding with a guy friend, she is jealous and possessive. That if he is ever
going to let someone into his private life and thoughts, it has to be her,
because she has earned that right. She wants more from him than he gives.
These are not the words of a sister, these are the words of a girlfriend.
9. Debra wants every detail of Dexter's sex life. She even wants to know what
"noises" Rita makes when they have sex. She is not only prying, in the back
of her mind, she is sizing up the competition.
10. When Dexter chooses to start seeing Lila, Deb freaks out. She has lost
control. Lila is more assertive than Rita, a sexual rival to Deb, even baring
her breasts in the home, threatening Deb's territory. Instead of making
herself scarce, and letting Lila go back to Dex and close the bedroom door,
Deb marches right in to her brother's private area, where he is on the bed
nude, and confronts him about Lila. From that point on she is at war with
Lila.
