Katherine Heigl has been finally let go from Grey’s Anatomy by series
creator Shonda Rhimes, reports EW. Here’s the latest from Michael Ausiello:

– Heigl’s exit isn’t finalized as ABC Studios and Heigl’s reps still have
to come to an agreement.

– Heigl was scheduled to return to the Grey’s set on March 1 to begin work
on the five remaining episodes of the season [but] March 1 came and went and
there was no Heigl.

– As of today, Heigl is without a publicist.

– Heigl is not expected to return to the Grey’s set, which means her final
episode as Izzie has already aired.
