'Person of Interest' promotes Sarah Shahi to series regular for Season 3
If you loved Sarah Shahi's story arc as Samantha Shaw in Season 2 of "Person
of Interest" then you're in luck, because so did CBS. The network has
confirmed that Shahi will be a season regular on the show's next season,
which means that she'll be spending a lot more time opposite Michael
Emerson's Finch and Jim Caviezel's Reese.
While watching Shahi and Caviezel work opposite one another in Season 2's
finale, "God Mode," we actually had commented about what a great team Shaw
and Reese make. Hopefully Shahi's fulltime status means that Shaw will now
act as a partner to Reese instead of just someone who comes to help him out
periodically. This likely also means that Season 3 will focus more on the
government people Shaw was working for.
Shahi's promotion isn't the only change coming for "Person of Interest" in
Season 3. The series has been moved to Tuesdays at 10 p.m., marking the first
time since the early 1980s that the three most-watched dramas on television
will all air on the same night. Showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman
recently teased to Zap2it that they have big plans for Season 3.
