An actor leaves. When Sasha Alexander asked to leave NCIS, creator Donald
Bellisario rewrote the season finale, weaving the death of her character,
agent Kate Todd, into a story about a terrorist hunting down her colleague,
Leroy Gibbs. Bellisario sees possibility: "an opportunity to bring in a new
character and start a new dynamic."
