fame who seemed to have succeeded in catching our Mayor's eye.

Last Sunday, the mayor bailed on a promised sit-down with Peskin to discuss
how best to spend a $137 million budget surplus, apologizing in an e-mail
that a guest from Los Angeles -- apparently a reference to Newsom's new
girlfriend, television actress Sophia Milos -- was in town.

"He's canceled numerous meetings with me," Peskin said. "It's very
frustrating."
