Thomas Newman - 電影配樂

這幾天聽了Little Children配樂之後，
又重新複習了他的American Beauty, Road to Perdition跟The Good German

我只能說：
What's wrong with this world???

大家居然可以接受Gustavo Santaolalla已經有兩座奧斯卡
而Thomas Newman一座都沒有？


我以前覺得Thomas Newman的作品就那樣差不多了，
相同的曲感跟樂器(打擊樂器與撥弦樂器)
大致上就可以用"光怪陸離"這四個字概括

我錯了！！！

去年的兩部作品
The Good German跟Little Children非常有突破～

但這兩部真的多少被片子拖垮，要知道奧斯卡愛的配樂多少是有點喧賓奪主的
(舉例：去年的Notes On a Scandal，我覺得是Glass很差的作品)

Good German在看電影的時候，大概是太無聊，我完全沒注意到配樂。
但單聽原聲帶，這是跟他以往很不一樣的精緻復古曲風，
我真的不會覺得這是Thomas Newman的作品。


Little Children更該入圍！媽呀！
簡直就是及他功力的大成。

這部片的弱勢在於片子太低調安靜，
所以其實根本可以跟In the Bedroom一樣不太需要配樂。
看的時候也沒特別注意配樂。

單聽才知道厲害，曲風超級多元，
有快有慢，有沉穩的也有活潑的。

所以他就把功力都注在End title中，
太 棒 了!
非常非常精緻的弦樂。

結合他過去所有的風格。


Thomas Newman是個很會寫End title的作曲家。

都是可以獲選年度之軌的呀 ><
