Somebody's killinh Mac Taylors on CSI: NY, which means star Gary Sinise's
character could be in trouble. "We wanted to find a unique plotline for
the 100th episode," exec producer Pam Veasey says of the November 19 show.
"So we thought, what if someone knows their terget's name, but nothing more -
not even if it's male or female. What if they'll go through a lot [of
people] to get to the right one?" Guest stars Rumer Willis, Scott Wolf and
Chris Daughtry play several of the endangered Macs. "Chris, who plays a
musician, did really great," reports Veasey. Julia Ormond also comes aboard
for the first of at least three episodes as the unit's new boss, deputy
inspector Gillian Whitmore. Look for romantic sparks between her and Sinise's
Detective Taylor. Says Veasey, "It's time for Mac to make a little pursuit."

IT'S A SMALL WORLD, AFTER ALL
It'd be wrong to send off William Peterson's Grl Grissom without at least one
more appearance by Natalie Davis, aka the Miniature Killer (Jessica Collins).
This week, she's back in the courtroom, and according to executive producer
Naren Shankar, "Grissom is brought into a transfer hearing to determine
whether Natalie is going to remain in the criminal psychiatric facility or
go to jail." Shankar adds: "He's not going with any particular outcome in
mind, but he wants to [see if an] extreme personality [can] change in a
fundamental way. He's asking that question anout Natalie [and] about himself."
With only three new Grissom episodes left before Peterson's January 15
departure, we hope he gets the answer... pronto! - Megan Walsh-Boyle
