機甲科幻大片《環太平洋2》將於2018年3月23日北美上映，早先影片的導演就透漏過電影時
長達2小時左右，雖比前作略短，但相信經過影片前作的洗禮，各位影迷們將對《環太平洋2
》更加期待！
其實，《環太平洋2》的誕生並不順利，中間經過了一系列變動，導演也從吉爾莫·德爾·
托羅變成了斯蒂文·S·迪奈特，讓不少影迷都好奇到底《環太平洋2》最初的設定是怎樣的
？曾和吉爾莫一起在《環太平洋2》中工作，擔任美術總監的Paul D. Austerberry透露了在
他們離開《環太平洋2》前，電影原本的故事。
Paul D. Austerberry表示，最初的《環太平洋2》的結局被設定在美國西海岸，而舊
金山作為終極地點是他們原本的想法，有那麼多的災難電影都發生在舊金山，在機甲和怪獸
的最終大戰中舊金山將會被摧毀，想想就激動。Paul D. Austerberry很失望沒能實現這些
計劃。
Paul還指出，原定的《環太平洋2》一部分故事會發生在上海，另外還會有沙漠的場景，雖
然大部分的設定已經被更改了，但到底有多少部分會在《環太平洋2》中保存下來，相信也
會成為電影的一個看點。
