第93屆奧斯卡入圍名單公布後，不再白人獨大的演員獎項引起熱烈討論，以「夢想之地」
成首位提名奧斯卡男主角亞裔影星的史蒂芬元，則讓「陰屍路」觀眾大嘆：「劇組把他角
色賜死，收視今非昔比，他卻一路殺進奧斯卡準影帝名單，是誰看走眼？」同片入圍女配
角的資深女星尹汝貞剛從加拿大拍完新戲返韓、在隔離中，表示要好好喝酒慶祝。
史蒂芬元雖在首爾出生，卻在很小的年紀隨著家人先移民加拿大再轉往美國，所以成了北
美亞裔藝人，進入娛樂圈本來也都在好萊塢發展，由於「陰屍路」在美國爆紅、隨後轟動
全球，他所扮演的披薩小弟戲分愈來愈重，成為主角之一，卻在第6、7季時角色慘死而結
束了該劇中的戲分。影迷一度擔心他往後前途受到影響，然而他卻反而開始歐美、南韓的
影片都接，拓寬了事業的空間，更一舉創下亞裔男星在奧斯卡獎的新紀錄，令人刮目相看
。
