有學者對美國電視網同志議題在黃金時段撥出做了個統計
也就是只要 同志議題一旦被提起 或者 同志角色出現 的加總時間比例
美國東岸黃金時段是 8pm - 11pm
以下是針對美國五大電視網 2006年六月到2007五月底 所做的分析
GLAAD評比
ABC １５% GOOD
CW １２% fair
CBS ９% fair
NBC ７% fair
Fox ６% poor
Note: 並沒有一家電視台被評為 "Excellent!"
另外
各大電視網共 ６７９位 出現在螢幕前的常任演員
只有 ９位 屬於同志角色 (慘烈的１.３％)
而這９位又分別出現在８個不同的電視影集中 (平均每部影集出現不到２位)
而前一年的數據有１０位 (2005-2006 佔總演員1.4%) 是有些許的下滑..
btw. GLAAD每年另外對於這些電視節目有加以表揚
從這入圍名單也可以看出電視台在同志議題上的用心程度
