五朗）が、後を託す者たちを病床に呼び出す中、江は会いに行くべきか迷い続けていた

大火事の際、夫・秀忠（向井理）が身をていして自分を守ってくれたことで、江（上野
樹里）は、徳川の妻として生きる決意を固め、娘・千を出産する。一方、病に伏した秀
吉（岸谷五朗）は、自分亡き後をなんとか息子・秀頼に継がせようと、後を託す者たち
を病床に呼び出した。その様子を秀忠から聞き、迷う江だったが、秀吉との間のわだか
まりは大きく、会いに行くことを拒み続けていた。しかし秀吉の病状は日ごとに悪化し
ていき…。
