鄉下青年秋山篤藏（佐藤健飾），從小調皮搗蛋缺乏定性，讓家人頭痛不已。但他擁有高
人一等的嗅覺，成為昆布店的女婿後，發揮所長深得大家信賴。某日篤藏前往軍隊送貨，
偶然品嚐到從未見過的料理「炸牛排」，從此味覺大開，更立志成為料理人，離鄉背井展
開修行之路…
