秀吉（岸谷五朗飾）命令辭意甚堅的利休（石坂浩二飾）切腹自盡，江（上野樹里飾）
得知後，一心想要阻止，甚至不惜和秀勝（AKIRA飾）兩人喬裝去見遭幽禁的利休，希
望利休能向秀吉道歉以求活命。但利休堅持不肯，最後利休還是切腹自盡了。
利休死了讓秀吉悲傷萬分，沒想到不久鶴松也病死了，秀吉和茶茶（宮澤里惠飾）都深
受打擊。在狂亂中，秀吉決定將關白之位讓給秀次（北村有起哉飾），還決定要出兵朝
鮮，而此時秀吉也決定讓江與秀勝結為夫妻...
