導演說他已終結了異形
"The beast is done. Cooked." said Scott.
"異形結束了. 燒焦了." 導演說.
"But after 4, I think it wears out a little bit....I think you've got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we've founf the next step. I thought the Engeneers were quite a good start."
四部異形後就玩得差不多了...我覺得要往回走去發掘一些更有趣的東西.且我想我們找到了下一步.
我想工程師是一個好的開始.

RS 就說主要是講工程師的故事, 沒有異形, 雖然後改口異形只占一小部份,
之前福斯公司是希望著重在異形(Fox:異形前傳,異形前傳,...), 但導演堅持
要走工程師路線.RS 和 編劇 Lindelof 花很長的時間在設定工程師的一切,
直到片子上映,美國觀眾(不只台灣,全球我看)就大挑片子不合邏輯處, 使得
續集沒和前集編劇繼續合作. 之前花了很大的心思在工程師的設定結果是
David 倒下黑水畫下句點.

putting off audiences."
原先他堅持把異形排除在前傳之外, 結果把觀眾趕走.
"It took him a while to learn this lesson, though,...
So I thought: ‘Wow, OK, I’m wrong’."
這讓他花了點時間承認 哦! 我錯了!
