第二十六集 西鄉吉之助
海軍操練所遭到關閉，龍馬（福山雅治飾）等訓練生，在依依不捨中拜別了
勝麟太郎（武田鐵矢飾）。大部分的人都回各自的藩去，唯有龍馬等脫藩者
不知何去何從。
但勝叫龍馬去拜訪西鄉吉之助（高橋克實飾），原來勝央求西鄉能收留龍馬
等脫藩者。但龍馬對西鄉感到一股莫名的恐懼，也非常猶豫是否該投效薩摩
藩。後來，西鄉甚至建議幕府不要討伐長州，幕府明顯受到薩摩的擺佈，
讓一橋慶喜（田中哲司飾）十分氣憤。
而這時候在土佐這邊，武市（大森南朋飾）因為不忍以藏（佐藤健飾）受到
殘忍的刑求，於是求彌太郎（香川照之飾）拿毒包子給以藏吃...
