[Scene: A Street: Monica and Phoebe are walking to a newsstand.]
[場景：街上，莫妮卡和菲碧正走向一個報攤。]

Phoebe: Do you think they have yesterday's daily news?
你覺得他們會不會有昨天的日報啊？

Monica: Why?
幹嘛？

Phoebe: Just wanna check my horoscope, see if it was right.
只是想看看我的星座預言，看看準不準。

Monica: Oh my God. (Grabs Phoebe and turns her away) Phoebe.
Don't look now, but behind us is a guy
who has the potential to break our hearts
and plunge us into a pit of depression.
喔天啊。(抓住菲碧然後把她轉開) 菲碧。
現在別看，但是我們後面有個男的很有可能會傷了我們的心，
讓我們深深陷入絕望的深淵。

Phoebe: Where? (Turns to face him) Ooh, come to Momma.
在哪？ (轉身面對他) 唔，來媽媽這邊。

Monica: He's coming. Be cool, be cool, be cool.
他來了啦。冷靜，冷靜，冷靜。

(The guy walks past them)
(那男生走過他們)

Guy: Nice hat.
帽子不錯。

Monica and Phoebe: (in unison) Thanks.
(異口同聲) 謝謝。

(The guy walks on)
(那男的繼續走)

Phoebe: We should do something. Whistle.
我們應該要做點什麼。吹口哨。

Monica: We are not going to whistle.
我們才不會吹口哨咧。

Phoebe: Come on, do it.
來吧，快吹。

Monica: No!
不要！

Phoebe: Do it!
吹啦！

Monica: No!
不要！

Phoebe: Do it do it do it!
吹啦吹啦吹啦！

Monica: (Shouts to the guy) Woo-woo!
(對那男的大叫) 嗚-嗚！

(The guy turns round, startled. Monica points to Phoebe.
The guy gets hit by a truck)
(那男的轉身，嚇了一跳。莫妮卡指向菲碧。那男的被卡車撞了。)

Phoebe: I can't believe you did that!
真不敢相信你吹了！

[Scene: Hospital, the guy is in a coma and Mon and Pheebs are visiting.]
[場景：醫院，那男的陷入昏迷，阿莫和菲菲來探病。]

Monica: Why did I 'woo-hoo'? I mean, what was I hoping would happen?
That-that he'd turn round and say 'I love that sound,
I must have you now'?
我幹嘛「嗚呼」啊？我是說，我希望會怎樣嗎？
他轉過身來說「我喜歡那個聲音，我現在就要你」嗎？

Phoebe: I just wish there was something we could do.
(Bends down and talks to him) Hello. Hello, Coma Guy.
GET UP, YOU GIRL SCOUT! UP! UP! UP!
我真希望我們可以幫上什麼忙。
(彎下腰跟他說話) 哈囉。哈囉。昏迷男。
起床啦，女童軍！起床！起床！起床！

Monica: Phoebe, what are you doing?
菲碧，你在做什麼？

Phoebe: Maybe nobody's tried this.
也許沒人試過這招啊。

Monica: I wish we at least knew his name... Look at that face.
I mean, even sleeping, he looks smart. I bet he's a lawyer.
我真希望我們至少知道他的名字...看看那張臉。
我是說，就算是睡夢中，他看起來好聰明。我猜他是個律師。

Phoebe: Yeah, but did you see the dents in his knuckles?
That means he's artistic.
是啦，但是你有沒有看到他指節上的凹痕？
那表示他很有藝術天份。

Monica: Okay, he's a lawyer, who teaches sculpting on the side.
And- he can dance!
好好，他是個律師，還一邊兼職教人雕塑。還有...他還會跳舞！

Phoebe: Oh! And, he's the kinda guy who, when you're talking,
he's listening, y'know, and not saying
'Yeah, I understand' but really wondering what you look like naked.
喔！ 還有，他是那種男人，當你說話時他認真傾聽，知道嗎，
而不是嘴上說著「是的，我懂」但實際上卻想著你裸體是怎樣的人。

Monica: I wish all guys could be like him.
我希望每個男人都跟他一樣。

Phoebe: I know.
