C18冠軍賽後訪談 - 超級名模生死鬥

冠軍訪談出來囉！（居然比亞軍還來得早）
算是一篇很短的訪談，看得出來有在維持冠軍形象，通篇絕無高潮。
有些句子看不太懂，翻錯的地方再請大家幫忙修正囉：）

Q: What was your immediate reaction when they said your name as the winner?

問：當評審宣布妳是冠軍時，妳當下的反應是？

Sophie: Oh my gosh I literally was 100% convinced it was Laura, and I was
prepared for that, and I was like, “This is alright.” So when my face came
up, I was like, “What is this, a joke? Are you guys joking?” And I think I
was just in a complete state of shock. I really thought she had it, I truly
did. I just was so excited.

Sophie：我的天啊，我真的百分之百覺得一定會是Laura，我都已經準備好聽到她的名字
了，我就覺得：「好吧，也沒關係啦」；所以當我看到我的臉出現在螢幕上，我想說：
「這是在幹嘛？什麼惡作劇嗎？妳們在開我玩笑嗎？」，所以我當下完全是在一個嚇傻了
的狀態下。我那時候真的以為她會奪冠，這是真的。揭曉後我非常興奮。

Q: Was it hard to keep your win a secret?

問：要封口不提自己奪冠會不會很困難？

Sophie: It is one of the hardest things, but it’s hilarious because when it
finally got announced, all my friends were like, “Are you kidding me?" It’s
not showing in England so they were all just keeping up with me on the web. It
was really sweet and really supportive, they’re like, “I can’t believe you
didn’t tell me!” It was like the best homecoming you could ever get.

Sophie：這是我碰過最困難的事情之一，但還是很好玩，因為當最後結果揭曉時，我的朋
友們就像是：「妳開什麼玩笑？」，英國還沒有播，所以她們就在網上跟我聯繫，我真的
覺得她們很貼心、很支持我，她們都覺得：「我不敢相信，妳得冠軍居然沒告訴我！」，
這是最好的歸國禮物了！

Q: How was ANTM different from Britain’s Top Model?

問：ANTM和BNTM有什麼不同之處呢？

Sophie: It’s really different. America’s massive and England’s only a kind
of really small thing, so everything just with the production and stuff, it’s
just bigger in the States. I’ve watched ANTM since I was piddly, so when I saw
Tyra, I was like, “Oh my gosh,” it was like being in the TV, it’s crazy.
It’s kind of pinching, you’re pinching yourself, dreamlike. And different as
well. I think I learned more from America’s. You get the feeling that they
truly do want to give you advice and help you. Kelly’s [Cutrone] been in
contact with me afterthe finale and she rung me last night when it was being
aired, saying, “Oh is there anything I can do?” Which is what you need
because you don’t want it to just stop after your show finishes. You want to
keep going.

Sophie：這兩個節目真的差很多。美國是如此的大，相較之下英國的節目就真的很微不足
道，所有事物像是製作單位和節目材料在美國都隆重很多；我從小就開始看ANTM，所以當
我看到泰嬤時，就像是：「我的天啊」，就像是在電視裡面一樣，太瘋狂了，那就像妳會
想捏自己，一切跟夢一樣，而且也非常的不一樣。我覺得我在ANTM中學到更多，妳會感覺
到評審是真的想要給妳些建議跟幫助。石凱莉在賽後還是一直有跟我聯繫，昨晚節目播出
時她打給我，跟我說：「好啦，那現在有什麼我幫得上忙的地方嗎？」，這就是選手需要
的，因為妳不希望比賽結束後一切就停下來了，妳會想要繼續邁進。

Q: Were you surprised by anything you saw, watching the show?

問：當妳觀看節目時，有什麼是妳看到時會感到驚訝的事情嗎？

Sophie: Um, you know, I tried to stay out of it and all that kind of stuff. I
just really wanted to have fun. I went into it with the mentality of, “I’m
just going to enjoy this because this is such an amazing, insanely amazing
opportunity.” I mean some comments are always going to surprise me about
people, but I’m kind of thick-skinned to it, because I think people under
pressure, they’re going to crack. They’re probably more likely to say things
that they wouldn’t normally say. So of course there are some things, but I
tried to stay out of it and just view it as, “You know what? That was past,
that was TV,” and whatever. I just tried to have fun.

Sophie：呃…妳們也知道，我試著想要遠離是非或之類的事情，我真的只想要在比賽中玩
得開心而已，我參加比賽抱持著一種「我只是來享受一切，因為這個比賽是一個太棒、太
瘋狂的機會了」的心態，我是說，參賽者們在賽內的評論總是會讓我感到驚訝，不過我有
點厚臉皮地在冷漠對待這些評論，因為參賽者都處在壓力底下，有時會崩潰，那時她們就
可能會說出一些自己平常不會說的話。所以當然有我驚訝的事，但我都會試著遠離它，然
後把那些評論看做：「妳知道嗎？那就是過去的事了，節目效果嘛！」，無論如何，我只
希望玩得開心。

Q: Is there a big difference between modeling in US and modeling in the UK?

問：美國和英國的模特兒工作有很大的不同嗎？

Sophie: As a career, the US is so much bigger, it’s crazy. Everything from
shoots and studio spaces, and I was saying earlier, I just feel like a little
ducky goldfish in this massive sea. I love the States, I was just out there in
Los Angeles on holiday. I went to LA and New York and I just fell for it, I
love the people, I can’t wait to get out there.

Sophie：作為一個職業，美國的市場龐大許多，非常瘋狂。所有事物從拍照到工作室的空
間，就像我之前說的，我覺得自己像一隻在汪洋裡的可愛小金魚。我愛美國，我假日時前
往洛杉磯，我去了洛杉磯和紐約，而我深深地愛上了那裡，我喜歡那邊的人，我等不及要
在美國發展了。

Q: Did you keep your hair pink after shooting?

問：妳拍照時還是維持粉紅的髮色嗎？

Sophie: Oh I really wanted to, the only thing is it fades so quickly after
three days, and then I didn’t want to wash it ever, which would be quite
gross. So I’m blonde at the moment, but I would happily put it in again, I
loved it, it’s just hard to maintain that pink hair.

Sophie：喔，我很想啊，但粉紅色的髮色在三天內就快要褪光了，所以我都不想洗頭了，
但這樣我的頭髮會變得很油。所以我現在是金髮的，但我樂意再把頭髮染回粉紅色，我愛
死粉紅色的頭髮了，但它真的很難維持住。

Q: We saw photos of you and Emma Watson recently. Are you friends?

問：我們看到妳跟妙麗最近被拍到，妳們是朋友嗎？

Sophie: Me and Emma went to school together so yeah, she’s a buddy. She’s
great, she’s wicked.

Sophie：我和妙麗一起上學，所以，當然，她是我的哥兒們；她是很好的朋友，棒透了。

Q: What are some of your future projects?

問：能透露一些妳接下來的計劃嗎？

Sophie: I’ve got a lot of prizes to fulfill which I’m super-excited about.
I’ve got a YouTube channel and a blog and stuff, so I’m going to do a Behind-
the-Scenes, so people can kind of follow me after Top Model and see what’s
going on, because I think there’s still interest with the winner, so I want to
keep the people who supported me and liked me [up to date]. And obviously
moving to the States, which will be pretty crazy. I’m undecided [on moving to
New York or LA]. I’d really like to do both, so I think I will divide the
time. I literally can’t wait, I’m so excited to get out there. I think this
year is going to be super-great.

Sophie：我有很多的獎品要去完成，我超級興奮的。我得到了一個個人的YouTube頻道，還
有一個部落格，所以我接下來要去錄製幕後花絮，這樣觀眾就可以追蹤我在賽後的近況，
因為我想就算賽後，還是會有人對冠軍有興趣的，我希望能持續更新，留住這些支持我、
喜歡我的粉絲。然後，當然，我會搬去美國，這會很瘋狂，我還沒決定要搬到紐約還是洛
杉磯，我兩邊都很喜歡，所以我想我應該會兩邊都分一些時間吧。我真的等不及了，我很
興奮，好像趕快過去，我想我今年會過得超級棒的！
