【賽後訪談】Renee：Marvin是我的白馬王子！

已吐，戀愛中的人講話真的很肉麻，每句都要繞到Marvin身上一會，覺得她表情如果始終
不開竅，那她的幾項生涯規劃根本沒半項做得到...（攤手）

Wetpaint Entertainment: Everyone’s wondering about your relationship with
Marvin. Can you give us an update?

記者：大家都很好奇妳跟Marvin的後續發展，妳能幫我們更新一下嗎？

Renee Bhagwandeen: We’re good. He’s one of my best friends. I talk to him all
the time. The only unfortunate thing is that he lives in L.A. and I’m
currently in New York, so we don’t want to put any titles on anything until we
actually get to be in the same place at the same time. Then we can say that
we’re together.

Renee：我們很好，他是我最好的朋友，我無時不刻地跟他聯絡。可惜的是：現在他住在洛
杉磯，而我最近卻住在紐約，所以我們決定先不定義彼此的關係，等到我們生活在同樣的
時間和空間裡時，我們再宣佈彼此是一對。

Renee Bhagwandeen: Marvin — he hates when I call him “baby” — is such a
sweetheart. He is my sanity a lot of times. He’s like freaking Prince Charming
in an unconventional way.

Renee：Marvin，他討厭我叫他「寶貝」，真的是個甜心。他就像我的腦袋一樣，他是我
另類的白馬王子。

Wetpaint Entertainment: How does it feel to be the first showmance in Top Model
history?

記者：成為ANTM史上第一對在螢幕上公開戀情的情侶感覺如何？

Renee Bhagwandeen: [Laughs] I think it’s great, but it’s also nerve-wracking
because I didn’t expect it and I like to plan things before they happen. It
turned out better than a lot of my older relationships, so I’m pretty happy
about that and I met such an amazing person from that.

Renee：（笑）其實我覺得蠻棒的，但那也還蠻讓我神經衰弱的，因為我並沒有預料會這樣
發展，而我總愛在事情發生前先規劃好。不過這段關係其實比我很多之前的感情來得好，
所以我其實蠻開心可以因為節目遇見這麼棒的一個人。

Wetpaint Entertainment: Any plans to move to L.A. or for him to move back to
New York?

記者：妳有計畫要搬去洛杉磯，或者Marvin有要搬回紐約嗎？

Renee Bhagwandeen: I do have plans to move to L.A. in January, but it’s not
because of Marvin. It’s because I want to follow my career goals, but it’s
still tentative, it’s like an 85 percent chance that I will. I’m just trying
to figure out where I’ll do the best for my career and he’s trying to do the
same. So maybe if I do move to L.A., he’ll be somewhere else. We’re trying to
not hinder each other because he has different plans and I have different
plans. If they match up, maybe it was meant to be. You never know!

Renee：事實上，我真的有打算在明年一月搬去洛杉磯，但不是為了Marvin，是為了我的職
業目標。不過我還在猶豫就是了，大概八成五的機會我會搬過去吧，我只是在思考怎麼樣
會對我的職業生涯最好，當然他也在做一樣的事情，所以搞不好我搬去洛杉磯，然後他也
搬到其他地方去了也說不定。我們試著不要妨礙彼此的發展，因為我們各自有不一樣的計
畫，如果哪天計畫搭上線了，那也就是上天註定的啦，妳永遠預料不到的。

Wetpaint Entertainment: What are your long-term career goals? Are you wanting
to just model or perhaps break into acting or hosting?

記者：妳的長期生涯目標是甚麼？妳打算只在模特兒圈發展呢？還是想要往演戲或主持界
邁進呢？

Renee Bhagwandeen: Well, it’s funny that you say that. I definitely do want to
get into acting really badly. I’ve been taking a couple acting classes. That
would be something that would be so cool for me to get into. One of my goals,
as far as acting, is to star in a Tyler Perry film. That would be, oh my gosh,
damn, this girl can actually do this s—t.

Renee：真巧你提到了這個，我真的很想要演戲，目前我有上一些表演課程，如果能讓我真
的上場演戲就太酷了。我其中一個生涯目標就是演戲，在Tyler Perry導的戲裡軋上一角，
如果真能成真，我只能說，天啊，這女孩真他X的屌。

Renee Bhagwandeen: As far as hosting, me and Marvin actually sat down one day
and wrote down our goals of what we want to do. I put four things and he put
four things. For me, it was: star in a Tyler Perry movie, be No. 1 on
models.com, have a national beauty campaign for skincare, and to be a host.
Most of those things came true — which is freaking crazy! Just have a couple
more things on that list! I’m a big dreamer, but why not?

Renee：至於主持，我跟Marvin某一天真的坐下來各自寫下我們將來想要的目標，我們各寫
了四項，我的那四項是：主演Tyler Perry導的片子、成為models.com排行榜上第一名的名
模、贏得皮膚保養的國際美容大賽，還有成為主持人。如果這些目標能實現幾項，天啊，
真的太瘋狂了！當然單子上還有些別的目標啦，我是個大夢想家，那又如何呢？

Wetpaint Entertainment: In what ways do you think you changed over the course
of the show? We really saw you come out of your shell.

記者：隨著節目進展，是甚麼讓妳逐漸改變的呢？我們都看到妳走出了自己的保護殼。

Renee Bhagwandeen: At the beginning of the show, to be honest, I came on
thinking I was going to use my pageant skills and be very neutral. I’m going
to say the right things and do the right things and hopefully that’s going to
get me far. I can’t be that perfect little Barbie, you know what I’m saying?

Renee：節目剛開始，說實在地，我只覺得我要善用我的選美技巧並保持中立，我想要試著
只說對的話、做對的事，並希望這樣我就能走到很前面的名次。但我真的做不來那種完美
芭比形象，你懂我的意思嗎？

Renee Bhagwandeen: A couple episodes into the show, I was like, “f—k this.”
I decided to be myself and not put together any personality in my head and be
something that I’m not, and I think that worked for me. Being myself is a lot
easier than trying to be a beauty queen. I think that’s where you see me as a
person learn that being yourself is the best thing you can ever do.

Renee：於是幾集過去之後，我就覺得：「去他的！」，我決定開始做自己，不要把自己的
個性關在頭腦裡而做一些違反我本性的事情，我覺得這對我來說是很有效的，做我自己會
比當個選美皇后輕鬆許多。我想這就是你們真正看到我這個人的轉捩點，做自己是你所能
做的最棒的一件事。

Renee Bhagwandeen: I know a lot of people have their opinions about me. They
either love me or they hate me, you’re rarely an in-between with me. And I’m
OK with that because I don’t like everyone.

Renee：我也知道很多人對我有很多意見，他們要嘛喜歡我的個性，不然就徹底地討厭我，
很少人對我會是普普的感覺。不過我覺得無所謂，反正我也不會喜歡每一個人。

Wetpaint Entertainment: On Twitter you called Tyra Banks your “fairy
godmother” — what did you mean?

記者：在推特上面妳說泰嬤是妳的「神仙教母」，這是甚麼意思？

Renee Bhagwandeen: She gave me the chance of a lifetime — just like
Cinderella’s fairy godmother — she gave me elephants, she gave me Marvin...
how could she not be my fairy godmother?

Renee：她給了我一生千載難逢的際遇，就像是灰姑娘的神仙教母一樣，她讓我坐上了大
象、她給了我Marvin，我怎能不叫她神仙教母呢？
