劇情好沉重 之 防雷頁


























片頭, 一個人戴上防毒面具, 在一間夜店中移動,
他打開了一個閥, 不明液體噴灑到下方的夜店客人中,
人群在透明的玻璃隔出來的空間中熱舞/移動/調情...
一名年輕人走進來, 顯然大家都認識他, 開心的與他打招呼.
某人: Hey, man, this is awesome!
男子: Hey, what's up, man? ... You guys having fun? Yeah!!!

下一幕, 該男子就是本集的死者.
一名沒見過的調查員蹲在屍體旁邊, 用西班牙文對著錄音機紀錄現場.
Jo: (走進來, 看著包子大) What's going on?
包子大: ... (示意Jo那為調查員)
Jo: Who is he?
包子大: His name is Hector OOO...
Jo: ... Barcelona Police.
包子大: You're familiar with them?
Jo: We have a kind of arrangement for us to over see the xxx system
under Barcelona train station...
包子大: The same arrangement let him have the ability to access and
photograph our crime scene.
Jo: So who's the victim?
包子大: Miguel Martinez... Moved to New York about 2 years ago.
Jo: Who found the body?
包子大: The victim's girlfriend. Natalia Sanchez. Her first response
is calling his mother...
Jo: Just keeps getting better and better. Well, who called NYPD?
包子大: (指指蹲在地上的Hector) He. After his arrival at JKD airport
and the body was found after 11 hours.
Jo: (仔細聽Hector在說的西班牙語) "Sobrino..." He just promised the
victim to find the person who did this. The victim is his nephew.

霍克葛格來到現場蒐證, 在屍體上找到一塊結晶.

包子大: Why didn't you tell me you're related to the victim?
Hector: Will that change anything? Observations and documentations are
all done.
包子大: Yes!
Hector: Miguel's mother is my sister. Muguel's father was killed when
he was 12. Tell me, Detective Taylor, won't you do something for
him if you were me? I felt like I need to scrutinize this murder
for my family.
包子大. I would. But not by jeoperdizing the crime scene. I hope you're
finished here.

Jo跟霍克葛格在現場繼續蒐證, Hector被包子大請到門外.
弗帥: (走進來) Got 25 uniform searching all the alleys or streets around.
No one found the murder weapon yet.
包子大: (接電話) Taylor. Yes. (聽完掛電話) They found the girlfriend.
Jo: Where is she?
包子大: Spanish Consulate. (看著門外的Hector) You know she was there,
didn't you? First Miguel, then Natalia. Anything else you're
hiding for me?

包子大跟Jo來到了Spanish Consulate, Hector卻阻止她們訊問Natalia.
Hector: ... you need to have a warrant.
Jo: Come'on. You know we have.
Hector: Give me some time.
包子大: Why? So you can go over an alibi?
Hector: Are you suggesting that I'm involved in Miguel's murder?
包子大: Did you give us a reason not to?
Jo: You help us, we help you.
Hector還想說什麼, 被Natalia阻止了, 她說她沒有關係的.

包子大: Could you tell us what happened last night?
Natalia: As I got there, the door just opened... There was blood
everywhere, all over him, all over the apartment.
Jo: (一邊採指紋/DNA等一邊問) Did you touch anything?
Natalia: No.
Jo: Did you argue often?
Natalia: I guess you could say so. We were in love, we get emotional.
包子大: Could you tell us where you are last night?
Hector: ... She's a witness, not a suspect. You don't have to answer
that question.
包子大: I don't think you have to right to tell her...
Natalia: (打斷兩人爭執) I'm not afraid, I didn't do anything wrong.
I was at home, along.
包子大: You called Miguel's mother first. Why?
Natalia: I don't know, just seems a right thing to do. She should know.
包子大: Then why didn't you call 911 after that?
Natalia: His mother told me not to.
包子大: Then, instead of going home, you choose to come here?
Natalia: She said it would be better for me... that she would take care
other thing.

蒙大拿走進法醫室, 驗屍過後的席德大叔正在比劃一把刀子.
蒙大拿: Planning on getting a knife defense soon?
席德大叔: (轉身, 有點不好意思) No.
蒙大拿: I then take that as an official COD?
席德大叔: Yes, there are three stabs. Also, I found this.
蒙大拿: Burns... could be chemical.
然後席德大叔提到關於Miguel身上一些不尋常的生理狀況
蒙大拿: Did you checked his medical records?
席德大叔: Yes, no records in hospital or anywhere else.
蒙大拿: Well, then, what cause them?

包子大跟Hector在實驗室檢視現場照片.
Hector: ... The murder weapon is missing.
包子大: I still have a question, there is no sign of trying to call help.
(放大房間裡電話的影像, 乾乾淨淨沒有血跡)
He was alive after he was stabbed. But he never attemped to get
out.
Hector: But your forensic pointed the wounds on Miguel's arm indicating
a struggle of knife.
包子大: What about the castoff?
Hector: It's a smear.
包子大: No, it's not. The pattern indicates the work of gravity. There
wasn't any struggles. There isn't anything could confirm this is
a murder.

霍克葛格跟亞當都在忙著檢驗現場的物質,
Jo經過走廊, 亞當跑出來.
亞當: Hey, Jo.
Jo: Hey.
亞當: Uh... What's the best way to tell a person who never messed up that
he messed up?
Jo: Mac messed something up?
亞當: No, yeah, no. I mean... the burns Sid found on the victim is cause
by sulfuric acid and xxx.
Jo: Marquis reagent?
亞當: Yes.
Jo: But it is used for drug testing, not on a crime scene.
亞當: (喘口大氣) I know. It's so bad. (抬頭看到走過來的包子大, 慌亂)
Oh! There he comes! (馬上假裝成在跟Jo閒聊)
So I said to the guy, next time just use lax glove!
包子大: (皺眉)
Jo: Hey! Mac. Adam has something to ask you.
包子大: What's that?
亞當: (瞪微笑中的Jo一眼) It's...uh...
Jo: Marquis reagent. It's what causes the burns on Miguel's body.
包子大: And you think I might what? Sprinkle them at the crime scene?
亞當: (啞口無言的傻笑)
Jo: What other explanation could be?
包子大: (看著亞當) Find one.
亞當: (趕快點頭, 看到接近中的蒙大拿鬆了一口氣) Linsey! I'm sure you
have something for Mac! (腳底抹油溜了)
蒙大拿: Yes, Iam. (一臉莫名其妙看著逃走了亞當) Reports of Miguel's
blood is back. (遞出文件)
包子大: Clonazepam?
Jo: My guess he is using it as a club drug.
包子大: ... and that's a great amount of alchol.
Jo: But Natalia said Miguel didn't drink much that night.
包子大: Then how can he reach this amoubt without drinking alchol?
蒙大拿: (微笑) Easy, you inhale it! The club just had a grand open
night of "The Mist Cub" last night. It sprinkles alchol
directly into the space and people inhale it.
Jo: The Mist Cub?

丹尼跟弗帥於是前往現場探查, 看到的就是片頭的那些景象.
丹尼: Inhaling alchol?
弗帥: I'm not a doctor. But that can't be good for you.
　　　(指指帶著面具的人) Apparantly employees need to wear the mask
while working so that they won't get drunk?
　　　(對丹尼說) Buy you a drink, we're done?
丹尼: Yeah, sounds good.
弗帥跟丹尼詢問一名男子
男子: He's foreign. He knows everyone, and everyone loves him.
弗帥: No conflict with anyone here?
男子: Miguel? No... Oh, actually there was this one just last night.
　　　(指指不遠處一張桌子邊正在跟一個女生講話的男子) Leo.
　　　He's a common customer here as well. Yesterday Miguel just
punched him on the face.
丹尼: (注意到那女生私下拿了幾張鈔票給Leo交換某東西, 示意弗帥)
弗帥: (點頭)　Leo. (對男子說) Thanks. We'll be in touch.

兩人接近Leo...
弗帥: Hey, Leo. NYPD, we want to talk with you.
Leo轉身就跑, 順手挾持了一個金髮女生逃入mist cub中, 人群四散.
弗帥: Let her go!
Leo亮出打火機對著噴灑酒精的龍口, 火焰馬上噴了出來.
弗帥: I said let her go! I'll count to 5, and if you don't do so,
I'll shoot your head! Starting now! 1...
丹尼: He's serious, don't do this to me.
弗帥: 2!
丹尼: I had to fill up all those papers. The scene won't be good.
弗帥: 3!
丹尼: I got blood on my jacket, not to mention the brain tissue.
You don't want to end up like that, do you?
弗帥: 4!
丹尼: Let her go!!! (Leo動搖了鬆手, 丹尼撲上前把他壓制在地上)
　　　Stay down.

回到局裡, Jo負責詢問Leo.
Jo: You're lucky, you know.　Whole place could be gone on flames.
Leo: Am I in trouble for that?
Jo: Truth is, the firework is the least thing you need to worry
about. Want to explain why we found this bottle of sulfuric acid
compound in your bag? We called it Marquis reeagent, used for
drug testing.
Leo: ...
Jo: To show that I did my homework, I found your website. "Ensure a
safety experience in New York's best club." Sounds promising, huh?
Only that I won't call mind-altering drug as safety.
(點出Miguel的驗屍照, 把手上的PAD拿給Leo看)
Leo: Whoa, Miguel is dead? You think I did that? I was not the only one
drug seller there!
Jo: Yeah, but you're the one with the evidence matches our crime scene.
　　So why did you kill him? He owe you some money?
Leo: I did not kill him! Last night, at the club, Miguel wanted me gone.
(回溯昨晚兩人爭執的畫面) But after that, I left. I didn't kill him.

包子大跟Hector在外頭觀看, Hector問說包子大可以起訴Leo了嗎,
包子大說紐約警局不是這樣辦的, 他們只有可能以販賣非法藥品的罪名起訴,
Hector說在西班牙他們會關上門跟Leo這種人"好好談談",
包子大說真可惜啊這裡可不是西班牙...

然後霍克葛格跑了進來, 說Miguel身上的結晶物質化驗出來了.
包子大: Indium and galium? Uncommon combination. It's usually using for
　　　　solar panel industry. Miguel has nothing to do with that.
Hector: It could come from the killer.
包子大: (電話響接電話) Taylor. I'll be right there.
(掛上電話對Hector說) You sister is here.

法醫室裡, Miguel的媽媽正在跟席德大叔爭辯.
Eva: I don't understand. You already release him, you signed the paper.
　　 And now you're saying you need to have him back for more
　　 investigation? Why? (看到走進來的包子大跟Hector)
I just want to get my son home and putting this to an end for my
daughther and I!
席德大叔匆匆忙忙的解釋著, 包子大幫腔.
包子大: And please, release him back to us. This is for your son's best
interest.
Eva: No!
Hector: Eva... (用西班牙文說一串, 然後回到英文)It's better this way, for
all of us.
Eva瞪Hector一眼甩門走出去.

包子大跟席德大叔再次檢視屍體.
席德大叔: I later found this bruise around the neck.
包子大: Hanging?
席德大叔: If it's hanging, it should be a V shape. No. This is liner,
　　　　　suggesting he was strangled behind.
包子大: So somebody tried to kill him before.

蒙大拿跟Jo去找Natalia.
蒙大拿: Bruise, on Miguel's neck.
Jo: He never said something to you about the strangle?
Natalia: No.
蒙大拿: Do you have an alibi for the night?
Natalia: Why? You already heared that. You think I killed Miguel?
Jo: Natalia, you said you're at home when Miguel was killed. You're
closed, and now you still said you know nothing about a violent
attack about one week prior to his death?
Natalia: We hadn't seen each other often for the past two weeks.
　　　　 I went back to XXXXX. My sister was getting married.
　　　　 I was there all week. You could check if you like.

Hector出示Jo西班牙警方取得的影像與入出境紀錄,確認了她的說辭.
霍克葛格: (走進來) Flack called saying that one of his guy found a
knife at XXX street. Blood on it. He said he'll send the
image in now. (去電腦接郵件)
Jo: (看著影像) Serrated blade. Fit the description from Sid.
Hector: It looks like you find your murder weapon.

霍克葛格檢查了那把刀子, 十分洩氣.
丹尼: (走進來看著洩氣的霍克葛格) Don't tell me all the DNA on that
knife comes back to our victim.
霍克葛格: I can't never solve the case!!!
蒙大拿: (走進來) "Poco a poco ......." (一串西班牙文)
霍克葛格+丹尼:???
蒙大拿: "Small storkes fall from great oak." Don't give up!
　　　　I was teaching Lucy Spanish now.
霍克葛格: That' good!
丹尼: Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. Why didn't I know this about our
　　　daughter's　education? So now you guys can talk behind my
back now?
霍克葛格: (大笑) That's great!
亞當: (走進來) I checked the evidences we found in Miguel's
apartment. Some of them came back to this guy: Vern Jeckson.
丹尼: (看著案底紀錄) Solar panel theif?

丹尼跟弗帥詢問Vern Jeckson.
Vern: (看著照片) He is dead?
弗帥: You know him?
Vern: (猶豫了) No.
丹尼: Oh, yeah? Do you want to explain why you're in his house then?
Cause we have your DNA inside the apartment
Vern: He, uh, he invited me in.
丹尼: Reakky? I think you're sneaking to the house and trying to
steal the solar panels. Then Miguel caught you.
弗帥: He threatened that he'll call the police. And since you cannot
afford more contacts with us, you decided to silence him.
Vern: No! You're wrong! I didn't kill that guy!
弗帥: (加強語氣)　Why were you in his apartment?
Vern: You guys won't gonna to believe me.
丹尼: Try us.
Vern: He came to me on the street. Said that he wanted to die.
He paid me to do that for him.
弗帥: Smart! Now if we found the money you stole from the apartment.
You got a built-in exponation! And you said he asked you to
stab him!
Vern: Stabbing?　I strangled the guy about a week ago. He want me to
kill him. I just can't go through that! I can feel he starts
trembling... and then the eyes are rolling... I just feel the
light drained out from the body. And I can't do that anymore!
Vern Jeckson did a lot of thing, but I ain't no killer.

包子大看著跟他一起監控偵訊的Hector.
Hector: There is something I need to tell you. Let's walk.
(兩人走出警局) My sister, Eva, her husbund was involved
in a mysterious death. They found his body in the pool.
包子大: Slipped?
Hector: ... No indication of trauma. But there is some unfitting
evidence other than drowning. In Spain, people talks.
Soon that the rumors is either that Eva killed her husband
or he killed himself. As soon as she flattened the pool,
all the rumors stopped.
包子大: So you're thinking the same thing could happen now? That
Miguel killed himself like his father?
Hector: It could explain the conflicting evidence.
包子大: It's time to go back to the crime scene.

兩人回到現場.
包子大: ... He want to die. The drops on the knife is only half.
The other half must be on the floor.
Hector: (開始沿著地板搜尋) Over here.
包子大: (開始沿著那個血跡邊緣搜尋指紋, 然後比對)　Prints are match
　　　　to Migiuel.　That explains the wounds on his arm. He tried
to grab the knife again. Because he wasn't leaving soon enough,
so he stabbed himself one another time.
Hector: (難過)　But why?　Why would he...
包子大: (想起蒙大拿的血液化驗結果) Clonazepam. He was self-medicating.
Treating himself with depression. But somehow, the knife, ended
up 12 miles away.

警局裡, Hector嘗試向Eva解釋.
Hector: Just listen to me carefully...
Eva: I don't want to hear it! Miguel will never take off his own life!
I know my son!
此時Natalia被一名員警帶著走入警局.

包子大和Natalia談話.
Natalia: Miguel thought if people know who he really is, they'd think
he was weak. That's why he came to the United States. To
escape his family.
包子大: So all those night lifes, friends... All to cover up what he
really feels?
Natalia: He go for days for some times and then everything come out
on bed. I kept talking to him. "What's wrong with you?"
"You have everything." "Why aren't you happy?"
包子大: And then he decided to end everything?
Natalia: (哭, 回想畫面是Miguel請求她幫忙)
(Miguel: Please. You know the pain I'm in, so, please.)
包子大: He planned it ahead. So you would know when to go to his
apartment. Stay untill eveythig is finished, then fix the
thing he asked. But you changed your mind. You went upstairs
to stop him, that's when the neighbors heared you.
Natalia: I was too late to save him... (哭)　My only choice was to
　　　　 do what he had asked. He didn't want his mother to know
what he did. Miguel's father killed himself. His mother
felt ashamed. She was in denial. But Miguel found his
father's body before she did. He was in the closet with
a string around his neck, the other ends on the door.
They then moved the body to the pool... Miguel made me
promise not to tell. But I have to.　I tried to help.
I threatened to leave. (哭)
包子大: There is nothing to be　ashamed for Miguel and his father.
Natalia: You always hear that "suicide is the most selfish thing to
do." But do I have the right to force him to live like that?
Would it be different if Miguel had a serious disease like
cancer or something? If he is physiologically suffering
instead of mentally? Would people understand them? What I
did might not be supported by the law. But that didn't mean
Miguel was wrong. I opened a door for Miguel. And now he's
at peace. He's finally at peace.(哭)
包子大: Natalia, you can try to justify for what he and you did. But
remember one thing. You changed your mind. You ran upstairs
to stop him.

在外面看的媽媽Eva已經淚流滿面了.
Eva: (轉身看著Jo)　She's right. About all the things. Miguel is like
　　 that ever since he was young, as a kid. Like his father.
What will you have done if it was your kid?
Jo: Oh, God, I don't know. Hugged him, I guess, and never let him go.

Eva擦乾眼淚走出門外, Jo和Hector靜靜看著她接近等在長椅上的女兒,
說了幾句話後緊緊抱住她.



本集心得: 1) 我不知道重點該說什麼了~~我想到Jodi Picoult的The Pact.
(台灣好像翻譯成"死亡約定"的樣子)
也想到我那個進進出出醫院的同學......
她說過"一直叫我要加油.是不是覺得我都沒有努力過?"
如果每個人可以承受的閥值本來就都不同,
用自己的標準跟別人說他覺得很痛苦的事情其實"沒什麼",
會不會真的是很不負責任的做法?
可是我還是覺得自殺是最不恰當的結論就是了......
2) 西班牙文學習成效證實為0, 我只聽得懂一點點單字而已~~ 囧"
