這一集淘汰誰都不意外
剩下四個人,Nick、Claudia和歡喜冤家Stephen and Derrick 要進行分組挑戰賽
而前一次 Best dish 的 Nick有選擇隊友的權利,他選擇了Claudia
而我們的歡喜冤家Stephen and Derrick又被迫分在同一組
接著是今天的食材,由三位主廚提供 Gordon's box、 Graham's box 和 Christina's
但是Christina's BOX一開始就被往後推,只剩下 Gordon's box、 Graham's box可選擇
透過多餘的幸運餅乾選擇,Stephen and Derrick(以下簡稱SD組)拿到Gordon's box

而怕他們沒有靈感, Gordon and Graham 各推出一長桌的菜給他們想想
開始做菜的時候,NC組出包了,因為Nick太慢把Dungeness crab放進去煮
導致後面只好採用權變之計,用了Claudia提議的Crab Cakes 蟹餅應戰
這次主菜過程可以說是無抓馬,立刻進入評審階段
開胃菜部分:

│ │但是pomegranate seeds卻被批評和這道菜格格不入(這是Derrick加入的) │

│ │看到red pepper sauce再度出現就覺得有點不妙,感覺沒有用心,果不其然被│
│ │轟爆了。外加上本該酥脆的鮭魚皮表面,因為放在羽衣甘藍上面,變得溼答答│
│ │Gordon甚至表示該用茴香或是蘆筍搭配鮭魚,羽衣甘藍是最差的選擇 │

雙方人馬都很不安,畢竟開胃菜是NC組吃香,而主菜是SD組吃香
後來評審說SD組進入半準決賽(semi-finale),而NC組進入淘汰賽
淘汰賽果不其然是用 Christina's box裡面的材料,清一色都是甜點(廢話!!!)
Christina還故意問兩人覺得哪一道最難,而最後是做Christina的招牌蛋糕
『chocolate malted layer cake』巧克力麥芽層蛋糕
雙方在製作時都出現問題
Nick是把錯誤的成分組合在一起,導致他的蛋糕比較矮,外加上加入太多的糖
使得Christina說出 There's something in the cake that's not quite right.
而Claudia雖然配方正確,但因為烘焙時間拖到,使得最後組裝非常匆促,但是風味十足
連Christina都讚嘆說 almost more airy than when she made it and noted the
flavours would be "hard to beat" in her cake
最後我們的神隱王Nick被淘汰了,
He predicted that Claudia would become the next MasterChef.
