憑著蘭貴人的細膩心思與菊娘的假扮仙姑拖延戰術，
眾人總算將桂大娘從鬼門關救了回來
為了防止日後悟清國師與玫貴妃繼續找桂大娘的麻煩，
桂大娘與菊娘決定在宮外自行開了間糕餅舖，
順便成為沛涵皇后與蘭貴人在宮外打探消息的眼線。
悟清國師與玫貴妃得知皇后與蘭貴人前去糕餅鋪道賀而不在宮中，又心生奸計，
遂命玫貴妃女婢偷取蘭貴人的髮簪…，
但是正當皇后將桂大娘精心製作的糕餅拿去孝敬太后之時，
宮女又傳來玫貴妃落池溺水的消息！這究竟是怎麼一回事？
國師偷取蘭貴人的髮簪又有何用？
難道奸計尚未得逞，心腸歹毒的玫貴妃就遭到報應，就不幸溺斃？
還是這一切都是另一項陰謀詭計的開始？
