[INT. CSI - LAB -- DAY]
[CSI實驗室內 – 白天]

(Eric Delko walks across the lab. Horatio walks down the entrance stairs and
reaches for the file folder the technician holds out for him. He flips it
open.)
(艾瑞克．戴可走過實驗室，何瑞修走下入口階梯並取出技師交給他的檔案夾，他打開瀏
覽著。)

HORATIO CAINE: Eric, how are we doing on those black boxes?
何瑞修．肯恩：艾瑞克，那些黑盒子調查的如何了?

ERIC DELKO: I'm headed back out now. I just came by to dose up on some
antibiotics.

HORATIO CAINE: As soon as you know.

(The technician leaves.)

ERIC DELKO: Okay. (cc) Got it.

(Delko leaves. Speedle walks into the lab.)

TIM SPEEDLE: I just spoke to the pilot's widow.

HORATIO CAINE: How's she doing?

TIM SPEEDLE: A radio car is with her right now. She's pretty hysterical.
The thing is, boss, she kept going on about Sommer and all his top brass screwing
over the rank-and-file. You want to know why they were going to D.C.?

HORATIO CAINE: They were being investigated by the Securities and Exchange

HORATIO CAINE: That whole planeload was on their way to Washington to be
grilled by the SEC.

(Calleigh walks into the lab.)

CALLEIGH DUQUESNE: You're not going to believe this.

HORATIO CAINE: What's the matter?

CALLEIGH DUQUESNE: Bayonet pins that hold the exit door in place were filed
down. NTSB concurs. That door opened in-flight.

(Quick flash of: [PLANE FRAME] Extreme close up of the bayonet pin as the
plane is in flight. The pin slips out.)

TIM SPEEDLE: Well, that explains how our victim ended up five miles from the
crash.

TIM SPEEDLE: Company is in trouble. Lot of employees ticked off at the boss.

CALLEIGH DUQUESNE: Exit door pins were tampered with. Most likely by
someone who knew their way around jet aircraft.

HORATIO CAINE: Means, motive. All they needed was an opportunity. Let's
find out who worked on that plane.

rubs his forehead.)

(Camera moves through the small lab. On the monitor is a enlargement of the
scrapings in the BULLETPRIIF database. On the wall there are various photos
of bullets.)

(The sounds of scraping metal continues.)

[INT. CSI - BALLISTICS LAB - DAY - SHORT TIME LATER]

(On the monitor is a close-up of the bayonet pin. She compares the two pins
side by side on the monitor screen. The computer slices the tip off of one
pin and compares it to the other. The scoring marks match.)
(在螢幕上的是螺栓特寫，卡莉比較著螢幕上並排的兩個螺栓。電腦切割了其中一個的頂
端，和另外一個做比較，刮痕的結果符合。)

(Camera pulls back and we see Calleigh looking through the scope and working
on the bayonet pin comparison. Horatio stands next to her.)

HORATIO CAINE: Good as good?

(Horatio interviews Senor Esparza, the mechanic.)

HORATIO CAINE: Senor Esparza, we know that you have been using old parts on
company planes ... (He puts the photo on the table for him to look at.) ...
and I wanted to know why. You making money on the side?
何瑞修．肯恩：埃斯帕薩先生，我們知道你在你公司飛機上使用老舊零件…(何瑞修把照
片放在桌上給他看) … 我想知道為什麼。你從中獲利嗎?

(Esparza looks up at Calleigh standing on the side of the room.)
(埃斯帕薩抬頭看著站在房間另一邊的卡莉。)

ESPARZA: No. No para mi. (下面黃色部分的是西班牙文)

HORATIO CIANE: You trying to get back at someone? Quieres venganza? Is
that why you sabotaged the exit door?

ESPARZA: No lo comprendo. I did nothing wrong.
埃斯帕薩：我不了解，我沒做錯什麼事。

HORATIO CAINE: We've matched the markings to your tools. We know it is you
that filed down the pins.
何瑞修．肯恩：我們比對你工具上的刮痕，我們知道是你破壞了螺栓。

ESPARZA: Para que sirvieran. To make them fit. We didn't have the right
parts. Oye, trabajo muy duro. I work hard. I get those planes up in the
air. Nobody asks how at thirty-thousand feet.

(He smiles, a bit surprised by that information.)

(The door opens and Horatio walks into the observation room. Megan Donner is
there.)

HORATIO CAINE: I'm cutting him loose.
何瑞修．肯恩：讓他走。

MEGAN DONNER: Why? He just confessed to using faulty parts on that plane.
梅根．唐那：為什麼? 他剛才承認了在飛機上使用有缺陷的零件。

HORATIO CAINE: And they were flying too low.
何瑞修．肯恩：他們飛得太低了。

MEGAN DONNER: There was no depressurization.
梅根．唐那：當時並沒有降壓。

HORATIO CAINE: That's right. Which is why that door couldn't have come off
by itself. Faulty pins or not.

MEGAN DONNER: It was opened from the inside.

HORATIO CAINE: Which reduces this to two possibilities, doesn't it? Suicide
or murder.

(Horatio sighs. Megan nods.)

MEGAN DONNER: You need to talk to your survivor.

MEGAN DONNER: Not anymore. Grace Memorial just called. He woke up.

(Megan stands next to Scott Sommer's bed. She watches as Horatio puts his
CSI kit down on the table.)
(梅根站在史考特．薩默床邊看著，何瑞修把他的CSI工具箱放在桌上。)

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: Did, uh, Did anybody else, any of them, make it?
史考特．艾瑞克．薩默：有，有其他任何人，活下來嗎?

MEGAN DONNER: Just you. I'm sorry.

(Horatio and Det. Eddie Delacroix listen as Megan interviews Scott Sommer.)

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: Well, we're going to take care of them. Their families,
I mean. We take care of our own.

MEGAN DONNER: That's very commendable especially in light of your company's
recent financial difficulties.

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: I'm not sure I know what you mean.

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: Wait a minute. Do I need to have a lawyer present?

HORATIO CAINE: Mr. Sommer we are merely trying to establish what happened on
the plane from your point of view. That's all.

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: I don't remember. I ... it's all just, uh ... it's fuzzy.

HORATIO CAINE: Well, maybe I can refresh your memory, then. What we do know
is that your employee, Christina Colucci fell to her death sometime before the
plane crashed and she fell out a door that had been opened from the inside.
Does that ring a bell?

HORATIO CAINE: Actually sir, you weren't in your seat and neither was
Christina which is why there were no friction burns from your seat belts. So ... would
you like to try again?

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: I didn't want to say anything because I wanted to protect
her. Christina was acting strangely that morning. She was very agitated and
she had been drinking.

(Quick flashback to: [INT. PLANE - DAY] Christina puts some pills in her
mouth and takes a drink from her glass.)

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: Don't take that with alcohol.

(She unbuckles herself and stands up. Scott Sommer grabs her wrist. She
struggles against him.)

CHRISTINA COLUCCI: Get off of me!

(She pushes him aside. Sommer unbuckles his safety belt and stands up just
as Christina reaches for the door handle. She opens the door and is sucked out
of the plane backward. She screams.)

(End of flashback. Resume to present.)

MEGAN DONNER: You're saying ... she committed suicide?

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: I'm saying she jumped out the plane.
史考特．艾瑞克．薩默：我是說她跳出飛機。

MEGAN DONNER: Why didn't you stop her?
梅根．唐那：你為什麼沒阻止她?

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: I tried to. There was just no time. When that door
opened ... she was gone, just like that. I don't remember anything after that.
史考特．艾瑞克．薩默：我試過了，根本來不及。當門一打開…她就像那樣走了。我根本
記不得那之後的事情。

HOTARIO CAINE: There is something I wanted to ask you. When did you hear
the gunshot?

SCOTT ERIK SOMMER: Gunshot? What gunshot?

HORATIO CAINE: No gunshot.

(Surprised, Horatio looks casually at Megan. She nods slightly.)

HORATIO CAINE: (covering) Um ... would it be okay if we took your prints
now?

(Horatio walks over to his kit and unlatches it.)
