路克在第六集ㄧ開始 - 星際大戰

先不論Luke就算用上黑暗面的招式也不是什麼太意外的事；

電影那段，網路上查得到的劇本是這樣寫的；

Luke raises his hand and points at the puzzled guards,
who immediately lower their spears and fall back.
The young Jedi lowers his hand and moves on down the hallway.

從描述來看，這應該還算是心靈控制(Mind tricks)的範圍。
(心靈控制也分很多層次，
從短時間幻像到洗腦或製造對手的恐懼，都是心靈控制在延長線上的技巧)

撇開幾段討論光明面黑暗面的分類定義或哲學觀邏輯等等......

有人認為Luke那是原力鎖喉(force choke) 像第一個留言者說的；

但也有人不這麼認為。譬如；

Daniel Camarillo認為:

I don't believe he did force choke them. The Gesture he used didn't
look like a "Squeeze" to me, more like a relaxed point. Furthermore,
the mannerisms of the affected guards doesn't jive with someone who
was force choked. there was no gasping, no heavy breathing, and at
the end, the guards simply retreated to the walls they were leaning on.

Kyle Keel認為:

Luke didn't force choke the Gamoreans, he used a dark grey technique
that caused fear in the guards without doing any actual harm.



從這幾個角度看，Luke當時用的"技巧"，應該還只是心靈控制，還不是鎖喉。

至於算是光明面還是黑暗面，那又是另外的問題:p
