跨界音樂人 Ro Rowan，利用童年時的家庭錄影帶剪輯成《1997》的新 MV，以自傳方式表
現性別及性向的身體政治，儘管當時Rowan的媽媽無法理解，仍舊支持Rowan自由的伸展。

Ro Rowan告訴 Gay Star News他的出發點和夢想就是盡可能的用製作的影像，和那些正為
與眾不同而掙扎的人，分享他的故事和經歷，讓更多的年輕酷兒知道他們不孤單。

雖然從事音樂創作多年，《1997》是第一次他聚焦在性別和性向的身體政治，費時2年半
製作，並集合了30位在性別展演上讓Rowan欽佩的人。
