順便把C18第10名的Ashley Brown賽後訪談也翻了，礙於英文程度，有些句子翻得不太精

感覺上就是「什麼都好」的好媽媽，沒什麼大爆點，接下來應該就會專職當母親了吧。

Q: Some people said it was hard to understand you. Did you have trouble
understanding the Americans?

問：有些人說很難聽懂妳在說些什麼，妳也覺得美國參賽者的話很難懂嗎？

Ashley: Not at all. I’ve got a step-dad that’s American so I can understand
American accents fine. See, it wasn’t actually that many words I said, I think
it was because I talk quite fast, and I say “gay-el” instead of “girl” and
whenever I said “girl” they thought I was saying “ghetto,” and they’re
going “you’re a little ghetto?” and I said, no!

Ashley：不會耶，因為我繼父剛好是美國人，所以我聽美國口音時沒有什麼困難。我想，
很多時候不瞭解我說的話不是因為我說的字句，而是因為我講話講太快，就像我會說：「
女－ㄞˊ (gay-el)」而不是「女孩 (girl)」，所以每當我說「女孩 (girl)」時，她們總
會以為我在說「街頭 (ghetto)」，然後她們會說：「妳是個街頭風 (ghetto)的人？」，
我只好回答：「不是！」。

Q: How did you feel when you were eliminated?

問：當妳被淘汰時，妳感覺如何？

Ashley: I just wanted to see my kids. As soon as I got eliminated I was just
thinking, I just want to see [my son] and Alicia. I just wanted to do mom stuff
with them. Buy them stuff, get them dinner and do the stupid things that moms
do, like I just like to do all that stuff.

Ashley：我很想要見我的孩子們。在我被淘汰的當下，我唯一想做的就是見到我的兒子和
Alicia（Ashley的女兒）；我希望能克盡母職，買東西給他們、煮晚餐給他們吃，還有做
任何全天下母親都會做的蠢事，這些事我都想要做。

Q: What did your kids say when you got home?

當孩子知道妳要回家時，他們怎麼說？

Ashley: Little Alicia, when I told her, she was like, “Oh Mummy does that mean
you’re not winning?” And I was like, “No [laughs], but I still got on
America’s [Next Top Model]!” No I had to break it to her that I hadn’t
actually won, so that was kind of rubbish. She got over it in a second. She was
totally fine after I gave her a present.

Ashley：當我告訴Alicia時，她說：「媽咪，這表示妳沒有贏嗎？」，我就告訴她：「是
啊（笑），但我還是登上《超級名模生死鬥》的舞台了！」，我必須跟她透露我實際上沒
有贏得比賽，這當然是種打擊，不過她很快就接受了這件事，當我給她禮物之後，她就完
全恢復了。

Q: Who are you rooting for?

問：妳支持哪個參賽者呢？

Ashley: I’m rooting for the British obviously. And then I love Laura, and I
love AzMarie, so I’m kind of rooting for a lot of people. There’s not anybody
that I could say, Oh I don’t want them to win, because I don’t think that’s
very fair to say. I got along with everybody. I love Annaliese because she’s
my friend back home anyways. And I absolutely love Sophie as well, so Team
Brit. And Laura, I love Laura. I just think she’s a genuine person, I just
think she’s a nice person, I really got along with her in the house.

Ashley：我當然支持英國隊，另外，我愛Laura和AzMarie，所以我大概支持很多人吧。事
實上，沒有哪個參賽者是我會說：「我不希望她奪冠！」的，因為我想這樣說很公道：我
跟每個參賽者都很好。我愛Annaliese，她就算回家後也還是我的朋友，而我當然也很愛
Sophie，所以囉，我愛英國隊。然後，我愛Laura，我覺得她是個很真誠的人，她人很棒，
我在宿舍時跟她相處的非常好。

Q: Did you notice any differences between British and American girls?

問：妳覺得英國女孩和美國女孩之間有什麼不一樣的地方嗎？

Ashley: No I didn’t actually, I think you got along with who you got along
with. Lucky for me, I kind of didn’t have any major fallouts or anything with
everybody. I kind of liked everybody. So I don’t think there were any
differences at all. We took Laura under our wing and she was like one of the
Team Brits, we called her a Brit. We would have loved her to be a Brit. She was
cool. Her shoots were so good.

Ashley：老實說，我沒有耶，我想每個人都會跟自己合得來的人合得來。我很幸運，沒有
跟任何人起過大衝突或什麼的。我喜歡每個人，所以我不覺得大家有什麼不一樣的地方。
我們把Laura收進自己的羽翼下，就像她也是英國隊的一員似的，我們都叫她英國妞；我們
也很希望她是英國隊的人，畢竟她很酷，拍照又很厲害。

Q: Do you think someone else should have gone home instead of you?

問：妳認為有哪個參賽者比妳更該被淘汰嗎？

Ashley: No, not at all. I think I deserved to go, I’d actually feel terrible
if I actually even thought that someone had a worse picture than me. Because to
be fair, my picture was pretty bad.

Ashley：真的沒有，我想，我的確應該被淘汰，如果真有人拍得比我糟的話，我想這會是
很恐怖的事，面對現實吧，我的照片糟透了。

Ashley: I was really just amazed that I was getting to meet Tyra Banks and
getting to see Miss J. Alexander and Mr. Jay Manuel and people I’ve watched
for years. I couldn’t even imagine. But the best part to me was getting to
stand in front of the judges’ panel. I know it’s scary but that was pretty
cool to me. When you see it on the telly and you’ve watched it for so long and
then you’re actually standing there while Tyra is standing with your picture
and handing it to you, that’s pretty amazing, that’s pretty cool.

Ashley：我真的很驚喜自己能夠親眼見到泰嬤、雙J和其他我在電視上看過的人，我幾乎不
能想像。但對我來說最棒的一部份就是站在評審前面，我知道這很嚇人，但對我來說這實
在是太酷了。過去妳在電視上看了那麼多年，等到泰嬤真的站在妳面前，手中拿著妳的照
片並把它交給妳時，那種感覺真的很驚奇，酷斃了。

Q: Did you think Kelly Cutrone was a good judge?

問：妳覺得Kelly Cutrone是個稱職的評審嗎？

Ashley: Well I know her. She’s huge to me. I watched her on The City and
everything. I think she was honest. I think she did brilliant for her first
time, I couldn’t fault her at all. Genuinely, I loved Kelly Cutrone from
before I was on the show. I just liked her because I like straightforward
people and she’s straightforward but in a good way. Like I didn’t see
anything wrong with her at all. And I thought she did a really good job.

Ashley：我知道她，她對我而言是個大人物。我過去就有在《The City》還有其他節目上
看過她，我覺得她是個坦率的人，我覺得以她第一次當評審來看，她做得很好，我沒什麼
好抱怨她的。老實說，我從上節目前就喜歡她了，因為我喜歡直白的人，而她是個用好的
方式表現直白的人。我沒有在她身上看到什麼過失，我想她做得還算不錯。

Q: Why did you say AzMarie is special?

問：為什麼妳會說Az很特別呢？

Ashley: I just think she’s amazing at what she does. If you see her at a
photoshoot, she already knows. She’s just amazing. And her walk is
unbelievable. Her walk is the bomb in a good way. I just think she’s brilliant

Ashley：我覺得她做的一切都很驚人。只要妳看到她的照片，妳會知道她已經知道要做什
麼了。她真的很棒，她的台步也好的令人無法置信，犀利地轟炸著所有人。我覺得她真的
很有天份。

Q: What is Tyra like in person?

問：泰嬤本人如何？

Ashley: I found her lovely. Whenever we saw her she was really, really nice.
She was good with her feedback and she helped I think. She would tell you
really good advice. And she was absolutely gorgeous, she looks like one of
these mannequins. She’s that beautiful, like everything’s perfect.

Ashley：我覺得她很可愛，無論什麼時候看到她，她總是對我們很好。她的回饋很棒，能
夠幫助我思考，她會給妳一些真得很好的建議。而且她真的好美喔，她美得就像模特兒模
型，漂亮而且一點瑕疵都沒有。

Q: What’s the best advice she gave you?

問：對妳來說，泰嬤給妳最好的建議是什麼？

Ashley: To do TV presenting. Because you know what? I’ve never thought about
doing TV presenting, but I think that would be pretty cool. It would be amazing
to do TV presenting. When she said that to me I was like, wow, I could be a TV
presenter!

Ashley：主持電視節目吧。你知道嗎？我從來沒有想過要去主持節目，但我想這會是件很
酷的事，我如果能去主持節目一定會很棒。當她這麼跟我說時，我就像是「哇－原來我也
可以是個電視主持人！」。
