i knew the differences that brian felt about between justin and the other two
but if brian was raised in a family without LOVE...
it would be difficult for him to express his affection,
no matter friendship or love...
think about other "family" members...
brian seemed never saying LOVE to them
and always be cruel to them in the surface...

and though i do agree that love is somewhat totally different from freindship.
but in any kind of LOVE relationship people certainly would have to bear
expectations, responsibilities, even commitments...
think about at the end of s2 e3 the words brian said to mic in the comic show
who can say those are not commitments?
and it is no doubt that from time to time we get hurt from our friends right?

that's why i can't figure out why these two could win his LOVE
but justin couldn't..

my point is that
if brian treated all kinds of LOVE equally,
he would have told justin he loved him just like he did it to mic and lindz
since brian obviously loved him at least as much as the other two...
if brian treated love and other kinds of affection differently
that means he basically still followed the pattern of staright people
because he thought that love equals commitments jsut as staright people tought
however what brian always tried to fight is to avoid imitating the stright....
(i knew it is the most possible way to explain his behavior
but i hate this one since it's just like the way straight people treating love
if he's really rebellious, he could make his own definition of love
like those he told justin in s2 e6)

i believe brian has emotional blockage problem...
so if he didn't say love to justin,
he should never say love to anyone at all
(like he kissed lindz at her wedding instead of saying love)
though practically he had did a lot for them

if he did have said love to lindz and mic
that means he had certainly realized what LOVE meant to him
and he would tell justin he loved him, with his own definition of love
(he even had admitted his jealousy in s2 e14)
that would be more resonable

did i make myself clear?
to me it's hard to illuminate it by english...:Q
