Ross是跟Susan放話，跟他說事情是會變的 XD

Cushions the blow就是讓糟的事情看起來沒那麼糟
用英文解釋就是to make a bad situation less serious
字面上的意思是當遭受打擊（blow）的時候有枕頭(cushions)擋著就好一點。

我的理解是之前Phoebe不是在咬頭髮嗎？
這下子頭髮不在嘴裡了，還穿上(拳擊)手套[隱喻]開始攻擊其他人了。
