"I've had trouble accepting what he [Rian Johnson] saw for Luke. But again, I
mean, I have to say, having seen the movie, I was wrong."
他一開始確實是對劇本所詮釋的路克有些意見，但看完成品以後有改觀了。影片中段他也
有講述自己一開始無法理解路克是怎麼變成一個憤世嫉俗的老番顛。
"I think being pushed out of your comfort zone is a good thing. Because if I
were just another benevolent Jedi 'training young padowans', we've seen it,
and nobody can do it better than Alec Guinness and I shouldn't even try. It's
not the Luke from the original trilogy, it's the Luke from the new
generation."
Hamill本人後來也覺得自己應該演個不一樣的絕地大師，他覺得直接複製亞歷堅尼斯的演
出也沒什麼意義，所以塑造出新時代的路克是可以接受的。
當然我覺得下面還是會有人回他只是為了宣傳電影才被要求這麼說的就是了。
