一般來說男女提到get a kick out of多少都有點我喜歡你的意思
或是我對你感到有興趣之類的
不過get a kick也可以用來表示得到快樂興奮或是愛好的意思

有名的音樂劇作家Cole Porter在1934年的音樂劇《Anything Goes 凡事皆可》
裡就有一首歌〈I Get a Kick Out of You〉 (Frank Sinatra翻唱過)
由歌詞大概就可以知道它的用法

I get no kick from champagne
Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all

That I get a kick out of you

Some get their kicks from cocaine
I'm sure that if I took even one sniff
That would bore me terrifically too
